5 Tips for Computer Science Freshmen

Starting college is a big adjustment for anyone, but it can be especially daunting for CS majors. After all, they’re jumping into a tough curriculum that’s very different from the work they did in high school. Even those who’ve taken Computer Science will face big changes.     My advice is to understand clearly, by talking to CS people currently employed or not employed, as to the realities of IT now. Expect to be a gypsy, moving from job to job, never quite catching the “purple squirrel” and competing with H1B outsourcing.
