I usually find jobhunts advice to be not very usual. However, this was pretty informative and gives good advice.
Couldn’t agree more – that was an excellent video.
Even if you acquire the HM name your resume and cover letter will likely be screened by HR or automagick software. I am unsure which is worse; software with no ability to read between the lines, or a HR drone with zero technical knowledge searching for the keywords.
@Me, the point of finding the hiring manager’s name is so you can reach out to them directly and bypass HR.
