Startup ÜberConference Hiring to Build Conferencing App

In Silicon Valley, there are tons of engineers, developers and designers chomping at the bit to find and work on the next big thing. If the Facebook ship has passed you by, you might want to consider ÜberConference, a visual interface-based audio conference calling application that won TechCrunch Disrupt Battlefield competition earlier this year.

Thanks to their recognized success, visible with the giant cup temporarily displayed in their booth, ÜberConference was able to close a Series B round with Andreessen Horowitz and Google Ventures.

With its new influx of cash, ÜberConference is hiring for all types of technical and design positions, said Alex Cornell, the company’s co-founder and designer. It’s trying to fill positions in engineering, iOS and Web development and user interface.

UberConference? With a name like that, they better have some thing unique to make people want to use them. I myself am done with Technology startups, a lot of work, stress and hours without overtime pay, and most fail or are bought. Information Technology, Human Resources, Most Sales and Finance People are all considered overhead to the company that’s acquiring them.

    Best of luck to them.

How does UC differ from the already established companies that produce conferencing apps? Does their software make the speaker more attractive? More articulate? Does it filter out filler words such as uh, ah, um, you know, I mean, so?
