Apple TV Expected Next Year

Apple TV SketchApple’s HDTV reportedly looks a lot like the one used in the iMac. It also has an iSight camera capable of facial recognition and comes with Siri. At least this is what one source told Cult of Mac.

Unfortunately, we don’t know whether the Apple TV comes preloaded with an iOS version, or maybe something between iOS and OS X. I hope it does. It  should also be fully compatible with any Apple device (iPod, iPhone, iPad, iMac, Macbook). AirPlay and iCloud should be supported as well.

Paul Gagnon, the Director of North American TV Research for NPD DisplaySearch, expects Apple to announce “two to four models ranging from 40 to 60 inches” this year, which will cost between $1,000 and $2,000 and would ship in 2013.

As usual, Apple will not comment on rumors, but we might find out in June during the Worldwide Developers Conference.
