AT&T Shakes Up Mobile Executive Team

In an executive shakeup following AT&T’s failed T-Mobile merger, John Stankey, president of business solutions, has been named to the new position of group president and chief strategy officer. FierceWireless reports he will assume the duties of Forrest Miller, head of corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions. Miller is retiring. Ralph de la Vega will continue as president and CEO of AT&T Mobility, but will no longer run the company’s consumer markets business. Andy Geisse will lead AT&T’s business and home solutions unit. CTO John Donovan will assume the new title of senior executive vice president of technology and network operations.

Matt Carter, the current head of Sprint‘s wholesale business, will take over the carrier’s machine-to-machine portfolio in an executive shakekup there. Paget Alves, head of business markets, will become chief sales officer. Bill Malloy will lead consumer and enterprise marketing. M2M unit head Danny Bowman will leave the company, as will Robert H. Johnson, head of Sprint’s consumer business; John Carney, head of consumer marketing; and Chris Rogers, who worked on corporate development and spectrum.

Brady Corp., a provider of identification technology, has announced that its CIO, Bentley N. Curran, will assume the additional role of vice president of digital business. His task will be to provide the digital capabilities to better serve customers, whether they interact with the company online, off-line or by mobile.

Federal contractor NCI Inc. has named Dr. J. Greg Hanson as senior vice president and general manager for its Air Force and Technology Services Group. Hanson was chief operating officer for integrator Criterion Systems.

NDS Surgical Imaging has appointed Dr. Peter M. Steven to the role of CTO. Daniel Webster will replace Steven as vice president and general manager of the radiology business unit.

Knoa Software, which makes end-user management software, has named Tim Murphy as vice president of software development. Murphy was director of software development, North America at Markit, a privately held financial services organization.

Digital and direct marketing agency MRM has made these executive changes: Andy Jacobs, executive vice president and chief technology officer will become EVP, CTO and director of global partnerships; Dave Hohman, currently EVP, director of performance, Americas will become EVP, global performance director; Tim Cunningham, managing director of the San Francisco office will become chief strategy officer; Patricia Berns, worldwide account director, will replace Cunningham; and Andy Queen, CFO of the Eastern region, will become EVP, director of commercial operations, The Americas.
