People Moves: Management Musical Chairs at Intel

People MovesIntel has announced a management shuffle as board vice chairman Andy Bryant moves to full-time executive chairman. Brian Krzanich, Intel’s new chief operating officer, will take over much of Bryant’s duties. Krzanich, senior vice president in charge of worldwide manufacturing, will retain that responsibility, but also will take on internal IT and human resources. Meanwhile, Dadi Perlmutter, head of the Intel Architecture product portfolio, is being promoted to chief product officer. He will maintain his previous duties as well. Both report to President and CEO Paul Otellini.

Stacy Smith, senior vice president and chief financial officer and Bill Holt, senior vice president and head of the Technology Development group, also will report to Otellini rather than Bryant. Holt and Krzanich will continue to co-manage the Technology and Manufacturing group.

Vice President Kirk Skaugen, head of the data center business, will lead the PC Client Group, succeeding Vice President Mooly Eden, who has chosen to move back to Israel. There, he will become president and general manager of Intel Israel.

Vice President and CIO Diane Bryant will take over Skaugen’s responsibility for the data center business. Kim Stevenson, vice president of IT Global Operations and Services, will take over for Bryant as CIO. The transitions will take place over the next 30 days.

Kevin Dorsey has been named president of traffic, navigation and mobility at Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. Dorsey joined the company last September and previously was senior vice president of national advertising platforms.

Document output management vendor Quadrant Software has named John Clark to the position of vice president of engineering. Previously, Clark was director of application architecture at multi-channel marketing firm Orchard Brands and director of technology at REZ-1, which tracks assets in shipping.

Telephonics Corp., maker of communications systems for aircraft and mass transit, has named Kevin McSweeney as chief operating officer. He has been with the company since 2004 and the company’s radar systems division, a responbility now given to Gary Fortmeyer, who has been promoted to vice president.

Brian Perrin will be director of digital development at NBC’s new publishing arm, NBC Publishing. He comes from a similar position at Rodale. Peter Costanzo,  previously with F+W Media and Perseus, will be creative director. They report to Cheryl Gould, senior vice president of NBC News, who will head the venture.
