Samsung Ready To Unveil Galaxy S III

Samsung Galaxy S II

Samsung might release the Galaxy S III during Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012, scheduled to take place between February 27 and March 1, says ETNews. You’ve probably heard this before, but the cool thing about this new handset is that it might feature a quad-core processor and a Super AMOLED Plus 720p display (better than the Galaxy Nexus display).

Samsung had already developed a quad-core version of its Exynos chipset, and Galaxy S III seems to be the perfect smartphone to host it. ETNews also indicatess the S III smartphone could feature LTE connectivity, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz user interface.

Alongside Galaxy S III, ETNews’s Korean source says Samsung is going to announce some new 3D capable devices. Who knows, maybe S III will be one of those.

Samsung Galaxy phones (I and II) dominated the smartphone market last year, with more than 30 million devices sold worldwide by the end of October. Galaxy S II itself was one of the fastest selling smartphones ever, with 3 million units selling in just 55 days.
