At Interop 2011 in Las Vegas, I had Joe Ghory, Senior Product Marketing Manager for Riverbed, demonstrate common computing behaviors like moving Excel and PowerPoint files to and from the cloud.
Much of the speed comes from the fact that it’s often not moving the whole file. If you just make a small change, it caches the rest and only moves the modification.
