Want a Job in Game Development? Do a Team Project (Video)

Whether you go to school, get together with a group of friends or put a call out on the Internet, you need to show you can work on a team if you want a job in game development. And you need to actually create a playable game, says Derek Such, a programmer with High Voltage Software.

Game developers are looking for talented people who can demonstrate that they can implement a game and hit the ground running. Team work is critical. Working alone just doesn’t fly in the game industry. Even when they’re in difference disciplines, team members can really help each other out and save each other a lot of time.
