Infinity Ward, the game’s developer, is testing a patch to close down the phishers. Some gamers say phishing through Modern Warfare’s nothing new, and it’s not clear whether Microsoft saw an increase in scam attempts or has just become hypersensitive in light of Sony PlayStation Network’s ongoing problems.
